The Man - The Artist
Breaking away from the traditional path of a government job, Pravin chose to follow his true calling — music. With his passion leading the way, he emerged as a versatile guitarist, a soulful singer, and a charismatic performer, earning the name: Pravin Singh – The Guitar Magician!
Pravin is particularly well known for his 7-year stint with the band '@Live in New Delhi', which became the first acoustic band to win the Indian Times Food and Music Award for two consecutive years — 2010 and 2011.
Growing up in the serene hill town of Darjeeling, Pravin picked up the guitar at just 9 years old. In 1989, he formed his first band, Revelation, which went on to perform across Darjeeling, Sikkim, the North-East, and various other parts of India, captivating audiences with their music. In 1994, Revelation secured second place at the prestigious All India Rock Competition held at S.R.C.C., Delhi. The band also performed at landmark events like the Centenary Celebrations of Dr. Graham’s Homes and St. Augustine’s School in Kalimpong. One of their most iconic moments came when they became the first band to perform a live concert at the Silver Jubilee Celebration of the King of Bhutan in Thimphu — a performance that received international media coverage across over 50 countries.
In 2005–06, Pravin took on the role of Head of the Western Music Department at Amity International School, Noida, where he taught students the fundamentals of Western music and inspired a new generation of musicians
From 2006 to around 2011, Pravin regularly performed at '@Live QBA' in Connaught Place, New Delhi — the venue where the band '@Live' rose to prominence, eventually winning the Times of India Award for Best Band for two consecutive years in 2010 and 2011. In addition to his work with @Live, Pravin has also been a part of 'Spanish Fly,' a unique band composed of U.S. diplomats that performs at various high-profile events in High Commissions and Embassies across Delhi. Over the years, he has played countless gigs and concerts, collaborating with both national and international musicians — including icons like Lou Majaw, Lew Hilt, and Sharad Srivastava, the celebrated violinist of the band 'Mrigya' — both on stage and in the studio.
In his international appearances, Pravin has performed in London alongside legendary musicians such as Bob Henry — drummer of the globally renowned band The Kinks; Martin Stevens — guitarist for Shakin’ Stevens; and Kenny Charles — a highly respected name in the UK music scene. He has also shared the stage with Patrick Wilson, trumpet player and founding member of the globally acclaimed band UB40, performing at some of London’s most prestigious venues. Additionally, Pravin toured the UK with Indian Idol and Bollywood singers Smriti Mishra and Asit Tripathy, further showcasing his versatility on the global stage.
Pravin has also performed under the banner of Parikrama Incorporate, managed by Subir Malik of Parikrama fame. After years of immersing himself in music, exploring diverse genres and styles, and entertaining audiences both in India and abroad, Pravin Singh introduced his own unique musical ensemble — now widely known as Pravin Collective.
Though the group is known for its versatility, it is their shared love for the blues that lies at the heart of their sound. Pravin Collective quickly gained recognition for their organic, soul-stirring acoustic music and their ability to bring a fresh twist to every performance. Whether it's vintage classics or the latest hits, jazz, blues, rock, classic rock, reggae, retro, country, folk, RnB, or hip-hop — Pravin Collective covers it all with authenticity and flair.
Having dedicated his life to music, Pravin Singh has spent decades captivating audiences of every background — across ages, genders, professions, cultures, and geographies. With a guitar in his hands and passion in his heart, he has mastered the art of enchanting listeners, touching their souls with every note. His performances don’t just entertain — they uplift, heal, and awaken a deep sense of joy, relief, and calm that only true music can offer
This emotional connection explains his ever-growing fan base, no matter where he performs. The moment Pravin steps on stage and lets the artist within him take over, audiences are drawn in — and they stay, fully immersed in each melody and rhythm he shares. Day after day, year after year, this has been the magic of Pravin Singh. Who says music can’t be addictive?
